Q: Do you have a preferred brand for off the shelf hair dye? Are there any I should avoid?

Thanks!

It's been so long since I bought one off the shelf, I would need a recommendation of my own.

Oh, don't do that. You can never tell what developer they're using, so the results are totally unpredictable, especially when you already have color in your hair.

Do you want to go lighter, or darker, or stay the same? I can give you a crash course in buying color at Sally's.

You are made of win. :)

I am thinking about going a bit darker. My main goal is grey coverage. Sherry was able to squeeze me in on Saturday. So, I will have a new haircut* which naturally needs a new hair color.

*I am going back to the bob cut. I am thinking a slightly longer cut than my last bob. Just above my shoulders with sweeping bangs. This longer hair stuff is annoying me.

i like natural instincts, and i don't like l'oreal - it always fades out in the middle.
