I have had a hankering for lamb for weeks now. I have also wanted to revisit a previous experiment of lamb & figs that I did a couple of months ago. I let the grocery store inspire me this morning & now I have the following percolating in my crockpot:

lamb leg
turkish figs
vidalia onion
granny smith apple
fresh cracked black pepper
yellow mustard seeds
yellow curry powder
orange juice
beef stock
balsamic vinegar

The smells coming from the crockpot are making my apartment smell delicious, so I have high hopes for this experiment.

The lamb turned out finger lickin' good (literally). The fig is definitely a perfect partner for lamb. I strained the chunky bits from the braising liquid, added a little apple cider vinegar & then reduced it to create a lovely sauce. I have been making peoples jealous at work with the smell coming from my lunches this week. The only sad part is I am having the last of the lamb for lunch today. I am definitely adding this recipe to my collection. I am very happy with myself for thinking ahead & writing down what I added to the crockpot as I did it. *pats self on back*
